Project Description —Construction & Demoiition/Inert Debris Facility Report Tracy Material Recovery Facility and Transfer Statlon �i 30703 S. Particular attention will be taken to avoid incorporating any chromated co CCA copper arsenate '4 (CCA) pressure treated wood and lead based painted materials into C&D mulch. Any contaminated feedstock will be stored in a segregated area for I special handling a'nd disposal in a Subtitle D lined landfill, in an area properly designated for such disposal. The LEA willbe j�notified of the identification, segregation, acceptance and disposition of any'" serious unlawful delivery of hazardous materials identified through this process. Any such items shall be handled and disposed of by trained personnel in accordance with applicable law and regulation. Records of loadchecks and the training ofersonnel in the recognition,ognition, proper handling, and disposition of prohibited waste are kept. A copy of the loadchecking program and copies of the loadchecking records for the last year are maintained on file in the administrative office and are available for review by the LEA during normal business hours. In the event any prohibited wastes are identified, the hauler is required to remove the wastes from the facility for proper disposal elsewhere. Unacceptable material that does not pose an immediate threat to public health and safety and the environment will be collected at the facility and segregated, handled and disposed of by trained personnel in accordance with applicable law and regulation and stored on site at the household hazardous waste (HHW) storage area. It is better to collect these HHW waste materials when there is a chance for proper management as opposed to potential illegal dumping, misuse at the 1 home, or later attempts to pass the HHW through the system undetected. HHW is stored for less than 90 days. The HHW from the load-checking program will be stored within a HHW storage locker at the MRF/TS building. The HHW storage containers and the HHW storage area will conform to the requirements q ents of 22 CCR 66265.170, and HHW will be transported by the operator or a licensed vendor to a permitted facility for proper handling and/or disposal. Solid Waste Removal [14 CCR 97410.1] Any residual solid wastes remaining from sorting are containerized for.transport to a permitted landfill within 48 hours of filling up the debris box or transfer trailer, at a minimum of once every 7 days. Any putrescible waste will be removed within 48 hours of receipt. There will be debris boxes on site for residual material and/or at least one transfer;trailer. One debris box will be located next to the Inert Debris Processing Area and 2 debris boxes will be located adjacent to the C&D Processing Area.
