Permit number 88-1255 was dated May 18, 1988. This permit is for a 1,200-gallon septic tank, <br /> two 80-foot-long leach lines, and two 4'x10'xl5' sumps. This permit was for a temporary <br /> mobile home. <br /> r <br /> Permit number SR0031127 was dated September 6, 2002. This permit was for the repair of a <br /> crushed distribution pipe. <br /> 4. GROUNDWATER <br /> At the time of our investigation, groundwater was not encountered in our profile boring. Based <br /> on our experience is the project area, groundwater is eater than 10� 0 feed w the ground <br /> 6- surface. Lines of Equal Depth to Groundwater and Equal Elevation of Groun water contour <br /> maps published in groundwater reports by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water <br /> Conservation District do not extend to the project site. Without Equal Elevation of <br /> 6- Groundwater maps, the general groundwater gradient is unknown but estimated to be to the <br /> northeast. Groundwater depth and flow may be influenced by local pumping, rainfall, and <br /> irrigation patterns. Evaluation of such factors is beyond the scope of this study. <br /> There are no known wells on the site, and groundwater is not used. At this time, no wells or <br /> groundwater use are planned for the site. <br /> Based on information provided by SJCEHD, we understand that elevated nitrate levels have <br /> been identified in wells in the project area. Potential sources of nitrate include fertilizer that <br /> may be used in the area, as well as septic usage of the single-family residences and the adjacent <br /> gas station. <br /> Based on the previously referenced surface/subsurface contamination report, one site within 11/2 <br /> mil as identified as having-mgQrted a hazardous release. A leaking un'g2 oun <br /> storage tank located at t Ie a dad nt gas station at 34243 South Chrisman Road was reported to <br /> have imps test sr,il�nl�v. This case was officially closed in May of 1998. Details regarding this <br /> site can be found in the referenced surface/subsurface contamination report. <br /> The potential exists for groundwater to be contaminated through the use of pesticides and <br /> herbicides. Details of known agricultural chemical use at the subject property can be found in <br /> the referenced surface/subsurface contamination report. <br /> 5. SOIL PROFILE <br /> The subsurface conditions at the site were explored before noon on August 3, 2004, by drilling <br /> one boring in each proposed parcel to a depth of approximately 25 feet below existing grade. <br /> ` The borings were drilled using a Simco 2400 truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 4%2-inch <br /> O.D. solid-stem auger.
