Box 548
Sonora, CA 95370
REQUEST FOR REPORT OF WASTE DISCHARGE, GEORGE REED INC.AGGREGATE
FACILITY, CLEMENTS, SAN JOA QUIN COUNTY
On 7 June 2001, Regional Board staff performed an inspection of the George Reed Inc. aggregate
plant in Clements, San Joaquin County. During the inspection, violations of Waste Discharge
Requirements (WDRs) minimum pond freeboard and maximum flow limits were identified.
Because of the increased wastewater flow, George Reed is required to submit a Report of Waste
Discharge (RWD) to update the WDRs. The updated WDRs will address George Reed Inc.'s
method of correcting violations of the existing WDRs No. 93-177 observed during the 7 June
2001 site inspection.
To initiate the WDR process, please submit an RWD. The RWD consists of the enclosed Form
200 and a technical report that will serve as your response to Sections VI and VII of Form 200.
The technical report must, at a minimum, address all items listed on the enclosed sheet entitled
"Additional Information Requirements"and must be prepared under the supervision of a
California Registered Registered Engineer or Engineering Geologist familiar with wastewater
processes. The RWD shall also include any additional information required to explain the site
specific processes. Because George Reed hic. is already paying an annual fee, there is no
additional fee associated with the RWD submittal.
Please submit the RWD by 25 September 2001. Please call me at(916) 255-3116 if you have
any questions regarding this request for an RWD.
1
TIMOTHY R.
