File No. 20-3672-01 KLEINFELDER
November 19, 1992
The test holes were cased with slotted PVC pipe, filled
with approximately 3 feet of relatively clean water, and left to soak overnight.
On October 27, 1992, our representative returned to the site to perform the percolation
tests. The tests were performed per San Joaquin County guidelines, and the last 30
minutes of each test were used to calculate the percolation rates. In order to use sump
pits, the County requires that a soil strata with a percolation rate of 30 minutes per
inch, or faster, be located. The 3-foot deep test on the proposed parcel 4 passed with
a percolation rate of 15 minutes per inch, and the 10-foot deep test on the proposed
"Designated Remainder" parcel passed with a percolation rate of 21h minutes per inch.
All three of the tests on the proposed parcel 3 failed.
On November 5, 1992 our representatives returned to the site and drilled and set-up
additional approximate 3-, 9-, and 15-foot deep test holes at a different location on the
proposed parcel 3. The tests were drilled, set-up, presoaked, and performed following
the same guidelines outlined above. The 9-foot deep test passed with a percolation rate
of 17 minutes per inch.
The following table presents a summary of the passing percolation tests obtained on
each parcel. The County approved percolation test sheets are included with this report.
TABLE I
PERCOLATION TESTS
Percolation Rate
Test No. Parcel No. Date Depth (mins./in.)
P-1 1 10-23-92 3' 60
P-2 2 10-23-92 3' 60
P-3 3 11-6-92 9' 17
P-4 4 10-27-92 3' 15
P-5 "Designated 10-27-92 10' 21/2
Remainder"
Copyright 1992 Kleinfelder, Inc.
