The subdivision will consist of seven (7), 10-acres +- lots for construction of single family <br /> ` residences. It is assumed that construction of the houses will be either one or two story wood frame <br /> with spread footings and concrete floor slabs. Foundation loads will be light. The purpose of this <br /> report is to meet the requirement for conducting a preliminary soil and preliminary geotechnical <br /> 6, investigation required by the San Joaquin County Community Development Department to process <br /> a major subdivision application. <br /> A tentative parcel map created by Mid-Valley Engineering,Modesto,California was utilized <br /> to place exploratory borings (Plate 1). The geotechnical study conducted at this site was prepared <br /> in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical engineering practices. No warranty is expressed <br /> or implied. This report presents the results of this study. <br /> ` II GENERAL GEOLOGIC AND SITE CONDITIONS <br /> _ The geology of the Escalon area consists of the Modesto Formation.'
