The subdivision will consist of seven (7), 10-acres +- lots for construction of single family ` residences. It is assumed that construction of the houses will be either one or two story wood frame with spread footings and concrete floor slabs. Foundation loads will be light. The purpose of this report is to meet the requirement for conducting a preliminary soil and preliminary geotechnical 6, investigation required by the San Joaquin County Community Development Department to process a major subdivision application. A tentative parcel map created by Mid-Valley Engineering,Modesto,California was utilized to place exploratory borings (Plate 1). The geotechnical study conducted at this site was prepared in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical engineering practices. No warranty is expressed or implied. This report presents the results of this study. ` II GENERAL GEOLOGIC AND SITE CONDITIONS _ The geology of the Escalon area consists of the Modesto Formation.'
