Should Mr. Terpstra or the EHD be concerned about PCB contamination from the transformers,PG&E should be contacted to test,retrofit,or replace the transformers. LIf the existing structures are to be renovated or demolished, a survey to detect lead-based paints and asbestos-containing materials should be conducted prior to any such activities. 6. Any stained soil or sources of contamination identified on the property,including those described in Section 3.3,should be characterized and properly disposed in accordance with federal,state,and local regulations. If any drums or containers on the property are used for fuel or chemicals,they should be 14 placed within appropriate secondary containment until such time as they can be used or disposed. L 6.0 LIMITATIONS This report was compiled as a Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject property. i This report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA in no way ►. warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this investigation by those sources. LIt should be noted that when an environmental assessment is completed without sample collection and quantitative analysis of soil and groundwater beneath the site,as in this study,no statement of scientific certainty can be made regarding latent subsurface conditions which may be the result of on-site or off- site sources. The findings and conclusions of this report are not scientific certainties, but rather, probabilities based on professional judgement concerning the significance of the data gathered during i the course of this investigation. NOA is not able to represent that the site or adjoining land contains L no hazardous waste,oil,underground storage tanks,or other latent condition beyond that detected or observed by NOA during the Surface and Subsurface assessment. The possibility always exists for Lcontaminants to migrate through surface water, air, or groundwater. Our office has not been provided with specific criteria for the development of this report other than a request to evaluate the property in question for possible problems related to toxic or hazardous agents, L nor have we been directed to address any specific questions concerning the site.
