ENGEO
INCORPORATED
5.2 General Site Setting
The Property consists of approximately 320 acres bounded by Manthey Road, West Manila
Road, the San Joaquin River, and West Frewert Road, San Joaquin County, California (Figure
1). Our research indicates that Property was historically used for agriculture production, the
` Haven Acres Mobile Home Park and Marina, and the Frewert Road Class III Disposal Site. We
observed that the Property is currently occupied by the Haven Acres Mobile Home Park and
Marina, fallow agriculture production land, dirt access roads, and agriculture production land
used for tomatoes, squash, and safflower.
5.3 Observations
Two agriculture production wells are located within the eastern area of the Property. These wells
use pumps powered by pole mounted power lines. We observed pole mounted power lines
running east to west along both the northern and southern boundaries of the Property. Pole
mounted power lines were also observed to be running north to south along the eastern boundary
_ and in several locations throughout the Property. Twelve pole mounted power transformers are
located along these power lines.
We observed signage for an underground natural gas pipeline running east to west and north to
_ south along West Manila Road and Manthey Road respectively. The signage for the pipeline
stated that it is operated by Energy Operations Management.
Within the southwest area of the Property, at the reported former location of the Frewert Road
Class III Disposal Site, we observed broken concrete, broken asphalt, rusted pipes, rusted metal
sheeting, and wood debris protruding from the g2Md. Also at this location, we observed piles
of yard waste, two boats, and one boat trailer.
6008.5.001.01 Page 14
November 11, 2003
4
