TABLE 3
KMC—SUMMARY OF PROPOSED WASTEWATER INFRASTRUCTURE
Estimated Treatment Dispersal
Development Phase Wastewater Capacity, Area,It'
Flow,gpd gpd
Phase 1 3,150 5,000 31,500
Phase 2
Restaurant 2,880 5,000 28,800
^
Hotel 4,850 5,000 48,500
2.2 Permitting
Because the capacity of each proposed wastewater treatment unit is less than 5,000 gpd and the
treatment units will be installed in parallel as development progresses, submittal of separate
permit application documents to the SJCEHD is anticipated for each wastewater treatment unit.
The first proposed submittal of permit application documents is associated with Phase 1 of
development. Subsequent submittals of permit application documents will be prepared as
required when development proceeds beyond Phase 1.
Issuance of separate permits for the proposed wastewater treatment units is logical and consistent
with their proposed purchase, operation, monitoring, and maintenance. A separate
manufacturer's warranty is anticipated for each unit. The units will operate independently and
will be individually (and remotely) monitored by a qualified service provider.
A 3.0 REFERENCES
[1] United States Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Water, Onsite Wastewater
Treatment Systems Manual,EPA/625/R-00/008, February 2002.
[2] Nitrate Loading Study, Soil Suitability Study, and Domestic Wastewater Disposal Study,
Chesney Consulting, August 25,2006.
^
KMC-Wastewater Pre-Application Information 4 MTB015600
- September 2007 n:\mtb0l56Wreports\wastewater pre applfmal 091907.doc
