L tJ k` ■ KLEINFELDER
►.
Our calculation is as follows:
Ne = 0.37(2)(70)(1 —0.25)+0.5(9.6) = 38.9 +4.8 = 4.2 mg/1 as N
0.37(2)+9.6 0.74+9.6
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the above evaluation, we conclude that wastewater produced by the proposed leach
field should not have a nitrate as nitrogen (l) concentration at the groundwater level greater than
10 mg/l. The results of our percolation tests indicate that a suitable soil percolation stratum
exists at a depth of about 3.5 feet. SJCPHS/EHD requires that leach trenches extend a minimum
of 18-inches into the percolation stratum while maintaining a minimum vertical separation of 5
feet from groundwater. Therefore, conventional leach trenches will be suitable for use.
LIMITATIONS
6. The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development and on the site conditions. It was assumed that the percolation test results
` are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
This completes the scope of work requested. Our work was performed in general accordance
` with the standard of care that exists in San Joaquin County. No other guarantee or warranty,
expressed or implied, is made.
`.
