Recommendations <br /> Action <br /> It is recommended that the Planning Commission: <br /> 1. Forward General Plan Map Amendment No. GP-01-13 to the Board of Supervisors with a <br /> recommendation of (approval) (denial) based on the (ability) (inability) to make the required <br /> "Basis for General Plan Map Amendment." <br /> 2. Forward Zone Reclassification No. ZR-01-9 to the Board of Supervisors with a recommendation <br /> of (approval) (denial) based on the (ability) (inability) to make the required "Bases for Zone <br /> Reclassification" <br /> Zone Reclassification of 34.74 acres from AG-40 to I-W <br /> Bases for Zone Reclassification (Development Title Section 9-812.4 page 432) <br /> The following Bases for Zone Reclassification must be made in order to recommend approval of the project: <br /> Findings in the Affirmative <br /> 1. The proposed zone district is consistent with the General Plan, any applicable Master Plan, and any <br /> applicable Specific Plan. <br /> This determination can be made because, if approved, the proposed I-W zone will be <br /> consistent with the proposed I/L General Plan designation. There are no Master plans or <br /> Specific Plans in the area. <br /> 2. The proposed zone district is reasonable and beneficial at the time. <br /> • This determination can be made because, the site is currently vacant, and rezoning will <br /> encourage utilization of the site. Furthermore, changing the zoning designation to I-W will <br /> provide an extension of an industrial area located immediately to the north of the <br /> proposed site. <br /> Findings in the Negative <br /> 1. The proposed zone district is consistent with the General Plan, any applicable Master Plan, and any <br /> applicable Specific Plan. <br /> • This determination cannot be made because the I-W zone is an implementing zone for the <br /> 1/1- General Plan designation.
