(§ 4.0) LOCAL GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE WATER INFORMATION
(§4.1) The 2012 Lines of Equal Depth Map published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control
illustrates groundwater depths throughout the County. The map shows the groundwater depth
under the subject property to be approximately 90 ft. The Lines of Equal Elevation map indicates
the groundwater directional flow to be in a northwesterly direction.
Well Drillers' Log for the on-site domestic and irrigation wells was not available. Giuliani and
Kull, Inc. survey determination reveals the property is in Flood Zone C and not subject to 100-
year flooding.
(§4.3 and 4.5) Located to the west of the main residential structure, is the on-site domestic
(house) well that serves this structure and the remaining residential structures. The dairy barn
well is adjacent to the milk barn. The water samples were retrieved from both wells by FGL Labs
personnel.
(§ 4.5 and 4.6) The two well water samples were sampled and tested by FGL Labs of Stockton
under the proper protocol. /
(§4.4) Water analysis results reveal a comparatively low nitrate concentration in the dome ,'c
well water a 15.0 ppm. 'The dairy milk barn well also had a low nitrate conce9Jptwp 0 11.5
ppm. The aximum Cghtaminant Level (MCL) for nitrate in drinking water is 45 in. BCP
was found to be Noetect(ND) in both wells. 'A summary of the test results are illustrated in
Table 2 below.
(§ 4.2) Considering the region has been intensely farmed for the past several decades, higher
nitrate concentrations would have been expected in both wells. The comparatively low nitrate
concentrations within the two sampled wells show that downward migration of nitrate is either
being impeded or denitrified by intervening clay strata, or just hasn't reached the water table yet.
TABLE 2
WELL WATER ANALYSIS
WELL ANALYTE CONCENTRATION MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT
LEVEL(MCL) /
Domestic Nitrate(As Nitrate) r 15.0 ppm 45 ppm
(House)Well
Dibromochloropropane ND 0.2 µ/L
DBCP
Dairy(Milk) Nitrate(As Nitrate) 11.5 ppm 45 ppm
Barn Well /
Dibromochloropropane 0,2 N,/L
DBCP
Page -5-
