(§ 6.2, 6.3 and 6.5) On December 11, 2013, 1000 hrs, two shallow perc test borings of 36 inches
and two deep test borings of 72 and 90 inches were hand-drilled on proposed Parcels 1 and 2, in
the aforementioned locations. The sidewalls of the shallow borings were scored with a pry-bar and /
the loose material removed. Two inches of fine gravel was placed at the bottoms and a three-inch
perforated PVC pipe was inserted into all four test borings. All four borings were pre-saturated at
1300 hrs on December 11, 2013 with 6 inches of clear water.
(§ 6.4) On December 12, 2013, at 1030 hrs, percolation testing commenced. There was
approximately 2 inches of standing water after the 24-hour soak period in the two deep test borings
as illustrated in Table 1 below. No standing water was encountered in the two shallow borings.
Consequently, EHD Pere Test Procedure#2 was conducted for the deep test borings and Pere Test
Procedure#1 was conducted for the shallow tests. The last half hour of the tests was witnessed by
an EHD sanitarian from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.
(§ 5.4 and 6.8) The following Table illustrates the proposed Parcel number, septic system
structure to be installed based on the depth of the passing perc rate, proposed acreage, post soak /
period status and perc test results for the respective perc test. The maximum acceptable perc rate
is 60 min/in for shallow perc tests, and 30 min/in for deep depth perc tests.
TABLE 1
PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS AND RELATED DATA
PROPOSED PARCEL PROPOSED PERC TEST DEPTHS POST SOAK PERC TEST
POTENTIAL SEPTIC ACREAGE PERIOD RESULTS
SYSTEM STRUCTURE STATUS
Parcel 1 100.61 f Net Acres 36 INCHES No Standing 8EiinliEquivalent Feet of Leachline Water in Hole based on number ofbedrooms.Seepage Pits Recommended.
72 INCHES 2"Standing 25Water in Hole
Parcel 2 72.20 t Net Acres 36 INCHES No Standing 35-.7-1mn/i
Equivalent Feet of Leachline Water in Hole PASS
based on number of bedrooms.
Seepage Pits Recommended —
90 INCHES 2"Standing OA minhn-
Water in Hole FAIL
Page -4-
