The
site is located within Section 3 , Township 2 North, Range 6 East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian. This property and the surrounding
area are zoned AG-20 (Agricultural) . The topography of this
location is flat with a gradient of approximately 0 . 0011, sloping
northeast to southwest. Bear Creek flows across the southerly
portion of the property in a westerly direction.
The topographic soils map prepared by the University of
California, Berkeley, indicates the site is largely covered by
Stockton adobe clay. For several year, the subject property has
been planted to alfalfa. The latest San Joaquin County Water
Conservation District Maps reveal that the standing water level of
the subject site to be at a depth of approximately fifty-nine (591 )
feet. This relates to a groundwater elevation of approximately
-36 feet.
Attached is a copy of percolation tests performed on May 9 ,
1991 , by R. W. Siegfried & Associates, Consulting Civil Engineers.
The test holes reveal that the surface soils are underlain by sandy
soil at a depth of approximately three (31 ) feet. The observed
percolation rates are 5. 81 and 9 . 26 minutes per inch for Test Holes
1 and 2 , respectively. Per Mr. Mike Huggins, San Joaquin County 06" ',*9
Public Health Services Supervising Environmental Health Specialist,
an average percolation rate of 7 . 54 minutes per inch shall be
assumed for Parcel 3 . The parcel was flood irrigated at the time
of testing, making it impossible to perform a percolation test.
(Cont'd. )
C:ILUILT6903.SO
MAIN OFFICE 4045 CORONADO AVENUE STOCKTON,CALIFORNIA 95204-2396 Telephone(209)9432021 FAX Telephone(209)942-0214
TRACY BRANCH OFFICE 3120 TRACY BOULEVARD,SUITE D TRACY,CALIFORNIA 95376-1719 Telephone(209)8365300
