14 October 2015 <br /> AGE Project No. 15-3556 <br /> Page 3 of 14 <br /> 3.1 Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps <br /> Sanborn Fire Insurance maps were developed in the late 1800s and early 1900s for use <br /> as an assessment tool for fire insurance rates in urbanized areas but are now utilized as <br /> a valuable source of historical and environmental risk information. EDR owns the largest <br /> collection of Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps. AGE requested EDR to provide any <br /> Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps that might cover the subject property. Sanborn Fire <br /> Insurance Map coverage is not available for the subject property. <br /> 3.2. Aerial Photographs <br /> AGE reviewed aerial photographs of the subject property and surrounding area that <br /> were provided by EDR for the years 1937, 1940, 1957, 1963, 1968, 1975, 1982, 1993, <br /> 1999, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, and 2012. The following is a summary of our review of <br /> the aerial photographs: <br /> _ Year(s) Aerial Photo Summary <br /> 1937, 1940, 1957, The subject property is utilized agriculturally (row crops). A stream runs through <br /> 1963 the western region of the property. Several structures are located in the central <br /> region of the property, as well as in the northeast corner of the property. Highway <br /> 4 is visible in its current location to the immediate north. Structures are located on <br /> the adjacent property to the west, adjacent to the northwest corner of the subject <br /> property. All adjacent and surrounding areas are utilized agriculturally. <br /> By 1957, structures are visible on the adjacent properties to the north and east, <br /> along the subject property boundaries. <br /> .. 1968, 1975 The subject property continues to be utilized for row crops. The structures visible <br /> in the central region of the property appear to be redeveloped with a single smaller <br /> structure. Structures in the northeast corner of the property appear to be <br /> redeveloped with a warehouse structure. Adjacent and surrounding areas continue <br /> to be utilized agriculturally. <br /> 1982, 1993, 1999 The subject property appears similar to the previous photograph, however the <br /> property is developed with a single structure in the central region of the property. <br /> The remainder of the property is utilized for row crops. A single structure is located <br /> on the western adjacent property, along the shared property boundary. All <br /> adjacent and surrounding areas remain agricultural. <br /> By 1999, additional structures are located in the central region of the property. <br /> 2005, 2006, 2009, The subject property is utilized for row crops. No structures are located in the <br /> 2010, 2012 central region of the property, though possible cars or tanks are located in their <br /> place. All adjacent and surrounding areas remain the same. <br /> By 2009, a large structure is located in the central region of the property, and a <br /> possible above ground tank is located immediately west of the stream. <br /> By 2010, the large structure is no longer visible.
