Maximum church gatherings will not exceed 65 people; the associated
waste will result in liquid and nitrogen loading equivalent to 0.5 day (i.e.,
22.5 gallons/person and 5.75 g N/person) for those 65 people on the day
of those gatherings.
• One additional gathering of 20 people will occur one evening per week; the
associated waste loading occurs over a 0.25-day period.
6.2.2 Liquid Loading - Phase 1 Expansion
Based on the assumptions presented above, estimates for the liquid loading were
calculated as shown in Appendix F. For 4 to 6 residents, the liquid loading rate was
estimated to be 1,260 to 1 ,890 gallons per week. The Phase 1 expansion will increase
the expected liquid loading to approximately 2,025 gallons per week.
6.2.3 Nitrogen Loading - Phase 1 Expansion
Based on the assumptions listed in Subsection 6.2.1 , estimates for the nitrogen
loading were established as shown in Appendix F. For a four-bedroom home with 4 to
6 residents, the estimated nitrogen loading rate is 322 g to 483 g N/week, respectively
(equivalent to 0.7 Ib. to 1 .0 Ib. N/week). The Phase I expansion will increase the
expected nitrogen loading to approximately 518 g N/week (1 . 14 Ib N/week).
6.2.4 Septic System Improvements - Phase 1 Expansion
The Phase 1 expansion will require increased liquid loading capacity for large
gatherings and the associated peak flow rates. The estimated liquid loading is predicted
to increase from 1 ,260 to 1 ,890 gallons per week (for 4 to 6 full time residents) to 2,025
gallons per week for 65 people on the property 0.5 days once per week. Septic system
modifications will probably include the addition of leach line and seepage pits, as required
by San Joaquin County.
6.3 PHASE 2 EXPANSION
This section provides some of the information relevant to estimation of liquid and
nitrogen loading expected from the planned improvements to the property as a result of
Phase 2 construction. The purpose of this section is to provide rough estimates of liquid
and nitrogen loading rates, and is not intended to circumvent San Joaquin County
SAC 125.12 10
DAMES 6,.MOORE
