. July 22,2002
NOA ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT NUMBER LE02-182
` A variety of examples of trash have been dumped on the subject property. One tire was found along
Shasta Avenue(see Photograph 10). Two electrical plugs were found in the northeast quadrant of
.. the subject property(see Photographs 11 & 12). Two separate piles of concrete were found on the
subject property(see Photographs 13 & 14). Finally,a suitcase that had apparently been rummaged
through was found on the subject property(see Photograph 15).
VIII. FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS
A Leaking Underground Storage Tank(LUST) case is associated with the designated remainder of
the subject property, the case is closed. There are a total of seven other LUST cases within one
quarter mile of the subject property. Six of those are closed. The remaining open case is associated
with Diesel Performance,Inc.,2804 East Fremont Street. Diesel Performance,Inc. is hydrologically
down gradient to cross gradient from the subject property.
Soil of a different color was observed on the subject property in the area of the excavated UST. The
combination of the facts that stockpiled soil from the excavation of the UST could have been
overturned when it was returned to its original location and the fact that a house has been built
` recently on the designated remainder of the subject property may explain the fact that some soil
appears different. However, without further investigation, no conclusions can be made.
XI. RECOMMENDATIONS
r It is NONs opinion that no further investigation is warranted or recommended at this time.
` 13 \
r
