Lee and Associates, Inc.
1137 North McDowell Boulevard
Petaluma, California 94954
Attention: Ms. Melinda Lin Spisak
SUBJECT: CAR WASH FACILITY AT EXISTING SHELL OIL SERVICE STATION ON THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF HAMMER LANE AND MORELAND STREET
Gentlemen:
Your inquiries on the subject project have been considered by the Department of Public Works and your
concerns are addressed below.
Moreland Street and Hammer Lane already have the necessary rights-of-way for their planned widths;
therefore, no additional dedication will be required.
No terminal storm drain facilities are available for this site. Drainage is provided by an on-site retention
basin which shall be sized to allow for the additional run-off created by the new facility, with no dry wells
permitted. On-site retention ponds are checked and approved by the Building Inspection Division(volume
calculation form is attached).
It doesn't appear that this expansion will require any new off-site improvements, but on receipt of the
application, it will be routed to various Divisions within our Department, which may require additional
improvements.
Any questions concerning the leach field and any allowed encroachments thereon shall be addressed to the
Environmental Health Division at(209)468-3420.
Applications for the Site Approval are provided by the Community Development Department, with all
correspondence concerning the application directed to that Department at(209)468-3139.
If you have any questions or need more information, please call me at(209)468-3059.
Very truly yours,
RICHARD HIEB
Engineering Assistant III
RH:It
PSb631T.C1
Attachments
c: Mike Huggins, Environmental Health Division
Dom De La Torre, Community Development Department
E: Manuel Lopez, Deputy Director/Development
