Ms. Aguirre
March 25, 2014
Page 2
• Increase in impervious surface area due to project construction presents the
potential for increased drainage from the project site to the I-5 right of way and
Department drainage facilities. It will need to be determined if project
construction would cause an increase in runoff to the existing State facilities. The
applicant will need to ensure that there will not be an increase in new construction
peak volume runoff from the current pre-constiuction amount.
• Any change in use or further development of this project should be resubmitted
for our review. At that time additional comments will be provided by the
Department regarding the impacts created by the additional proposed
development or change in use.
If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Hempstead at(209) 948-3909 (e-mail:
Barbara Herr, stead:ii'dot.ca.gn)or myself at(209) 941-1921.
Sincerely,
TOM DUMAS, CHIEF
OFFICE OF METROPOLITAN PLANNING
U`
"Callrans improves mobility across California"
