Mr.Kimbrough indicated during the site visit on <br /> September 6,2005 that two septic systems currently exist on the property. One septic system to the east <br /> of the residential area has been abandoned. He stated that a second water well was abandoned by <br /> Teichert Construction;this well was located in a portion of the subject property that is currently a utility <br /> L easement. The locations of these features are indicated on the site map in Appendix A. <br /> The EHD well and septic pertnit files were searched on September 26,2005 in an effort to obtain copies <br /> L of permits for any water wells or septic tanks on the subject property;two permits were found. The first <br /> permit,for Amelia Machado on Patterson Pass Road and dated March 1969,was for the installation of <br /> a new septic tank to service a mobile home. The second permit,dated September 2004,was for pump <br /> L. replacement at an existing domestic well;based on the illustration attached,the permit appears to refer <br /> to the now-abandoned well. Copies of these permits are included in Appendix F. <br /> 6. 3.1.6 Department ofOi4 Gas, and Geothermal Resources <br /> The California Department of Oil,Gas,and Geothermal Resources(DOGGR)Wildcat maps 608'4 and <br /> 60615 were reviewed for evidence of oil or gas wells on or in the vicinity of the subject property. No <br /> wells are depicted within one-quarter mile of the subject property. <br /> 3.1.7 Site Reconnaissance <br /> A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on September 6,2005. Photographs of <br /> ` the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site visit/assessment checklist is <br /> attached to this report as Appendix D. <br /> r The subject property was observed to be a flat,rectangular, 148-acre parcel. The eastern portion of the <br /> property consisted of a former dairy, with two manure ponds and a manure spreading area at the <br /> northeast corner. A water collection area with a pump was observed at the western end of the manure <br /> ` spreading area. A milking barn, two open-air dairy structures, one shop building, one residence,one <br /> garage, and five mobile homes were observed near the northeast corner of the property. A domestic <br /> well was observed near the center of the structures. Corrals were observed along the eastern side of the <br /> ` property.
