L
L MACHADO PROPERTY Page 12
L WKA No. 6078.02
November 1, 2004
L California Division of Oil and Gas
During our review of DOG Map 606 and 608, we determined that the subject property is not
L. located within a designated Natural Gas Field. No listed plugged and abandoned DOG wells
were located with one-half mile of the subject property.
L
CONCLUSIONS
Our historic land use research, which included reviews of topographic maps dating back to 1914,
and historical aerial photography, reveals that the majority-area of the property has supported
i
L lands cultivated in dry-farmed crops, irrigated pastures and hay crop. We observed no evidence
of bulk storage or production of hazardous materials during our windshield survey of the
P, property surroundings.
` We identified no state or federal Superfund sites within a one-mile radius of the subject property.
6. We identified no known agency-listed contaminated sites on or within one-half mile of the
subject property. With regard to the former crude oil pipeline,we recommend that site access be
` granted so further investigation can be performed to identify the potential for contamination
originating from the pipeline to impact the subject property. We identified no known regional
impairments to groundwater quality beneath or in the vicinity of the subject property during
L review of the regulatory agency databases described in this report.
L, The subject property contains at least one known water supply wells. If the well will cease to be
used, the water supply well must be properly abandoned;this procedure requires a well
Labandonment permit for each well from the San Joaquin County Environmental Management
Department, Environmental Health Division. The existing residences on the subject property are
and/or were serviced by at least two or more on-site septic systems. The septic systems are
L unlikely to have affected subsurface soils with hazardous materials, based on expected residential
waste effluent as opposed to commercial or industrial wastewater discharges. When the property
L, is redeveloped, each of the septic systems and associated leach fields and/or dry wells must be
properly abandoned in accordance with the recommendations of a qualified geotechnical
Lengineer.
L
L `NK
WALLACE-KUHL
&ASSOCIATES INC
