1
f
r7l '
The depth is approximately 105 ft MSL. Groundwater elevations are very flat in this locale
and flow direction is difficult to determine. Surrounding sloughs may have some influence
on groundwater directional flow. Regarding flood information, Farley's Surveying will
determine flood potential. The surface soil structure is predominately a Finrod clay loam,
with Stockton Clay at the west end of the property.
F
A§ 3.2 Description of all past on-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of
contamination identified on the property include: 1.) There has never been an above
ground or underground fuel storage tanks for as long as Mr. Nahas has owned the property.
Fuel tanks that may have been on the property prior to Mr. Nahas's ownership are unknown
and have not been documented, and 2.)Nitrate from agricultural crop fertilization and
f agrichemical residues from crop production are of little concern.
There is an extremely slight potential of DDT residual insecticide from farming operations
that may have taken place on the property decades ago, although this is somewhat
improbable and also inconsequential. Any minute residual pesticide concentrations are
f inconsequential in my professional opinion because the vast majority of the property will
remain in agricultural production and not be developed into a residential subdivision.
! §3.3 Description of all current on-site potential and/or known above ground and below ground
sources of contamination identified at the project site are included in Section 3.2
No sources of current aboveground contamination exist that were observable. Subsurface
contamination of known or unknown contaminants may be possible. As referenced, the on-
site septic tank/leachfields and surrounding leachfields may be considered to have a very
slight impact due to sparse density. The referenced electrical transformers near the
E southwest corner of proposed Parcel A, as illustrated in the attached photographs, probably
do not contain polychloride biphenyls (PCBs). If there was a leak or explosion, it would be
the responsibility of the transformer owner to mitigate any contamination.
3.4 Description of all past off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of
contamination identified in the area of the project site that could impact the project site
includes: Information conveyed by the February 9, 2006 Envisions Program Documents
illustrate no listings on, or in proximity to the subject property. The two closest Leaking
Underground Fuel Tanks (LUFTs) are approximately 1.5 miles to the north of the property
based upon the Geotracker data. The distances involved make it virtually impossible for
these sites to impact the subject property, and the applicable cases have been closed. There
are no contaminated sites within 1000 feet of the subject property.
Agricultural spray drift(non-target) from the on-site and nearest agricultural production
land affecting the property could be a possibility, since agricultural production occurs
around the property. However, since Mr. Nahas's neighbors know he is under organic
production, spray drift is not a problem.
Page -5-
Chesney Consulting
t
