07-29-'05 15;31 FROM-OI,` N, & MURPHY 1-259-334-0723 T-016 PO4/07 U-581
,
above ground fuel tanks on the site. The site includes three domestic wells as well as four septic
systems. There are drainage ditches along the north property line along with a pond for rrigation
purposes. The pond remains dry partially through the year(see tentative map),
<3.4 Description of all past off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources
of contamination identified in the area of the project site: Past off-site potential for
contamination may have been surrounding vineyards and the farming practices used. There is no
knowledge of below ground sources of contamination in the area of the project site that has or
may impact the project site,
`3.5 Description of all present off-site potential and/or known above and below ground
sources of contamination identified in the area of the project site: Present off-site potential
for contamination would be vineyards still operating in the surrounding parcels. There is no
knowledge of below ground sources of contamination in the area of the project site that has or
may impact the project site.
4.0 EVALUATION OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF
CON'T'AMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION:
1.`_4.1 Evaluation.of each potential and/or known source of contamination identified for any
real and/or potential threat to human health and the environment:The depth to ground
IL water in this area is approximately 130 fleet..Due to this depth, any pesticides, insecticides, and
fertilizers used on the property in the past or present would have a minimal impact to the ground
water with the exception of mechanical failure, malfunction, or sabotage in the farming practices.
The use of approved best management practices for the containment of soil or any contaminates
by straw waddles around the construction site and other practices to reduce.the introduction of
any, dift or contamiiaates into the storm runoff system will be required at the time of any future
construction per County Building Department.
"5;0 CONCL'USIONS'AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION:
S.1 Dis60si6n of the above evaluation: The aforementioned dairy use and farming practices
create the only potential for contamination. In the case of severe flooding, the onsite pond could
potentially be a source of contamination as well. But the true potential for contamination would
be low, and no mitigation measures are recommended at this time.
`5,2 Tlie Report is inclusive: All information in this report does not reference any other
documents that are not contained in this report.
2
cA0420\Contamination Aepm 0705
