Jahant Road, Acampo, California. The minor
subdivision will create three, five-acre parcels from an existing 15-acre parcel.
The Soil Suitability Study(SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for
the use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section
9-1105.2(d)of the San Joaquin County Development. A major element of the field work
included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by San
Joaquin County Public Health Service Environmental Health Department (EHD).
In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic
maps, and ground water information was reviewed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with
a septic system. A water sample was collected from the onsite domestic well and was tested for
nitrate (NO3) and DBCP (1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane) .
This report has been formatted to correspond to the EHD's SSS Requirements Checklist, dated
July 7, 2003.
1.1 Site Description
` According a letter dated May 12, 1995, from the Community Development Department to Scott
Graves regarding minor subdivision MS-95-5, the Community Development Department
indicated the Assessor Parcel Number for the Site is 007-060-46. However, at the time of this
report, the Community Development Department's internet site indicates 007-060-46 is a retired
parcel number.
