i
i
'E Lange Property Page 11 of 13
Our Project Number: LES08004
February 8, 2008
soil sampling and analysis. Such sampling and analysis is especially warranted in the
conversion of agricultural land into residential use, which is not the case for this property.
Because the subject property will continue to be used for agricultural purposes only, the
potential for persistent residue from the RUP agricultural chemicals should not be considered an
environmental issue to the land at this time, however, discretion should be observed when
applying these chemicals to the property as they can serve as contaminants to the surrounding
waterways.
' VJahant Slough should be periodically monitored for indiscriminate disposal of potentially
hazardous materials.
i ✓Should the property be developed for residential use and the future residents be interested in
determining the quality of their drinking water, the EHD should be contacted for direction
regarding the potential for impacts to groundwater from the agricultural history of the property
and vicinity.
/Any wells or septic systems identified which will not remain in use should be abandoned under
EHD oversight. Any additional infrastructure or buried debris that may be encountered during
site grading or development should be removed and disposed of in accordance with all
applicable regulations.
/The waste water ponds and land application area should continue to be monitored for
contaminants and reported to the CRWQB.
I/As the site is developed, any stained soil or sources of contamination identified should be
characterized and properly disposed in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
6.0 LIMITATIONS
vThis report was compiled as a Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report for the subject
property. This report contains information and data provided to NOA by several sources. NOA
in no way warrants the accuracy or completeness of the information provided to this
investigation by those sources.
It should be noted that when an environmental assessment is completed without sample
collection and quantitative analysis of soil and groundwater beneath the site, as in this study,
no statement of scientific certainty can be made regarding latent subsurface conditions which
1 may be the result of on-site or off-site sources. The findings and conclusions of this report are
not scientific certainties, but rather, probabilities based on professional judgement concerning
the significance of the data gathered during the course of this investigation. NOA is not able to
i represent that the site or adjoining land contains no hazardous waste, oil, underground storage
tanks, or other latent condition beyond that detected or observed by NOA during the Surface
and Subsurface assessment. The possibility always exists for contaminants to migrate through
surface water, air, or groundwater.
i
902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02008 Neil 0,Anderson&Associates,Inc.
