It appears that the Site has been used for orchard, <br /> vineyard, and irrigated pasture. <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> V Existing Septic System <br /> No septic systems are currently located-on the Site. <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> A new septic system will be installed to serve the proposed residence on Parcel 2. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> No permits for new septic systems on the Site were identified at the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department. One permit for demolition of a septic system <br /> was .identified, .dated October 6, 2005; the..system had served the-former residence on <br /> the Site. The permit is attached in Appendix 4. <br /> Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To determine the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic <br /> systems that exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo <br /> imagery from GoogleEarth TM was used. Each -building cluster on the photo was <br /> assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there is a <br /> minimum of 22 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> The general area consists of agricultural and rural residential properties. <br /> Septic Permit History in the Vicinity <br /> v <br /> Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, the septic systems in the area <br /> appear to utilize leach lines, leach lines-with sumps, and leach lines with seepage pits. <br /> The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this report. <br /> LOGE1015 Page 2 <br /> E <br />
