INTRODUCTION <br /> This study was prepared to satisfy the requirements of the <br /> Conditions of Approval for Minor Subdivision MS 91-43. <br /> PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> The project is to create an 1 . 5 acre homesite parcel <br /> containing the existing house, shop and the existing <br /> septic system and domestic well . The remaining 18 .2 ± acre <br /> parcel is a potential building site. See Exhibit 1 . <br /> PRESENT AND PAST USE OF SITE <br /> The site is presently a mature vineyard . The majority of <br /> the adjacent land is used as dry grazing or field crops. <br /> EXISTING SEPTIC TANK 'USEAGE <br /> The owners of the site, Ruel and Delilah Tamba , constructed <br /> the existing septic system in 1980. They reported no <br /> problems with the system. Neighbors were also interviewed <br /> concerning their septic systems with the results as <br /> follows: <br /> 1 . Owner : Edgar Mertz , etal <br /> Address : 333 East Jahant Road <br /> Location : Across Jahant Road and West of the site <br /> Septic : Rental home; septic system over twenty years <br /> old . No problems reported with leach area . <br /> 2. Owner : Thomas Seibly <br /> Address: 333 Jahant Road <br /> Location : Across the road and West of site. <br /> Septic : Septic system constructed in 1953 and <br /> enlarged in 1981 . No problems reported . <br /> 3. Owner : John Siemers <br /> Address: 707 East Jahant Road <br /> Location : Across the road and East of the site. <br /> Septic : Septic system is eighteen <br /> problems reported . Years old . No <br /> 4 . Owner : Glen Laviolette <br /> Address: 474 East Jahant Road ( property now owned by <br /> Bob Hallanger) <br /> Location : Just West of site. <br /> Septic : Septic system is two <br /> Years <br /> with the leach area was reported . <br /> problems <br />
