SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Tom Dixon to conduct a <br /> Soil Suitability Study for the for the Dixon property located at 9273 East Jahant Road, f <br /> Acampo, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> The proposed project is a two-parcel minor subdivision (Plate 2). No changes in use of <br /> the Site are anticipated. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site consists of one parcel, Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 007-310-10, the <br /> parcel is 10.07 acres in size. The County project application number is PA-1000074. <br /> The Site consists of grazing land with a residence, barn, and outbuildings. One /1 <br /> domestic water well and one septic system serve the needs of the residence; one [ <br /> irrigation well is also present on the Site. A recent aerial photograph of the Site is <br /> included as Plate 3. �l J <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 85 feet above mean sea level. The ground surface in the area <br /> slopes downward gently toward the west (Plate 4). <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AL-5, limited agriculture with a minimum parcel size of five acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is intended to recognize and preserve areas that contain existing <br /> concentrations of small-scale agricultural operations and dwellings." <br /> Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on historical aerial photographs reviewed., the Site has been used as irrigated <br /> pasture since the 1950s.
