Existing and Proposed Se tic Tank Usacle <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> One septic system exists on the Site to serve the residence. �3 <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> There are no immediate plans for construction on the Site. However, a new home could <br /> be placed on Parcel 2 sometime in the future, or a second dwelling unit could be placed (3 <br /> on Parcel 1. Any new residences would utilize new septic systems. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> No permits for new septic systems on the Site were identified at the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department. One permit for a septic system repair, dated <br /> June 24, 2010, was identified; the repair involved adding an additional 42-foot teach line <br /> and two 36-inch diameter by 25-foot deep seepage pits to the existing residential <br /> system. <br /> Two permits related to water wells were also identified for the Site. All permits for the <br /> Site are attached in Appendix 4. <br /> Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To determine the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic <br /> systems that exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo <br /> imagery from GoogleEarthTm was used. Each building cluster on the photo was C �� <br /> assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there is a <br /> minimum of 63 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> The general area consists of rural residential properties with vacant or grazing land, <br /> some agricultural properties are located to the west. <br /> Septic Permit History in the Vicinity <br /> Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, the septic systems in the area <br /> appear to utilize leach lines and seepage pits.
