r
r ; The well was tested by FarWest Labs in Jan. 2006,the results are included in this report and are
summarized as follows:
r ✓DBCP- 0.01 ;Nitrates 16.0 m The water meets current potable water standards with
respect to a two tests.
There is no third party involved in the sampling and testing of the well. A copy of the Log-hi
Record book is included with the test report. No representative of Smith&Associates was
present during the sampling process.
/ SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION
/There is no soil profile pit as the classification of the soil is determined by observation of the
r degree of difficulty in drilling and the material removed from the hole.
The general description based on drilling the three lots is as follows:
r
0' - 3'soft clay
Y - 7'hard pan
r,
7 -20 clay, soft,wet
20-23 hard pan
L23'- 25' sand, damp
/The soil surface texture may be described as silt loam. The soil drainage class would be
moderately well drained. Pits are required to reach the sand layer. The depth of the sand layer is
not known as the drilling was terminated at the 25'depth.
PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION
The location of the test holes are plotted on the Tentative Parcel Map. As a minimum a 42" hole
(shallow) and a 25'hole(deep) are augured and the soil examined. The next hole depth is
determined by the location of a sand layer, if found. Thus at least 3 holes are tested on each lot.
The following description pertains to the protocol used:
Date holes tested: 5/16/06
Time of testing: 0900 begin&4 hours duration
Pre-soak began: 0900, 5/15/06, 12" of water placed in 42" hole& 6" in deep holes
All test holes were dry after pre-soak period.
The holes are sleeved as soon as possible after drilling and after placement of 2" of gravel on the
` bottom. (See Smith&Assoc. hole prep sheet)
The testing conformed to SIC Policy EHD 02-02.
The Percolation Test Forms were completed in the field recording the measurements obtained by
a battery operated meter and measuring from a reference point each time.
The rate was calculated using the last reading on the selected hole on each of the 3 lots.
2.
