SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Daryll Quaresma to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the for the Kasson Road property located at 29665 <br /> South Kasson Road, Tracy, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> A minor subdivision is proposed to split the Site into four new parcels and a designated <br /> remainder (Plate 2). Mr. Quaresma plans to plant almonds on the new parcels. <br /> Site Descril2tion <br /> The Site;is �556-ac a property, Assessor Ps arcel'Number (APN 255-270-06./The <br /> County (project--application numbers PA-1100066); The Site consists of open <br /> agricultural land with a shop, a hay arn, two mobile homes, three smaller! i e , a <br /> storage building, and a silo (Plate 3). One domestic well and five irrigation pu s <br /> supply the Site's water. A recent aerial One <br /> of the Site is included a Plate 4 <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 40 to 55 feet above mean sea level. The ground surface in the <br /> area slopes downward gently toward the northeast (Plate 5). <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on historical aerial photographs reviewed, portions of the Site have been <br /> irrigated agricultural land since 1963 or earlier. Most structures on the Site date to the <br /> 1980s or earlier. <br /> LOGE 1116 Page <br />
