Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, the septic systems in the area
appear to utilize leach lines. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this
report.
Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from future residential uses_
Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards-
(2003) or other engineering recommendations.
Ground Water Information
Depth and Gradient
Live Oak reviewed ground water elevation information available from the San Joaquin
County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to determine the ground water
levels near the Site. a from spring and fall of 2010 were the most recent available
from this sours Accor to an analysis of these maps (Plates 6 and 7), ground
water elevations 18 to 32 fe t above mean sea level. Ground water flows down to the
east or northea'stat a rate o pproximately four feet per mile in the vicinity of the Site in
the spring map; the_fl_ow_ra#e is uncertain in the fall map.
Given that the ground elevation of the Site is appy ximately,40 to 55 feet, the depth to
water below the Site is estimated to range betwe 14 to 37 feet, epending on the time
of year.
Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
The Soil Suitability Study is not intended to be an investigation into ground-water
contamination sources, and no such investigation was conducted. Many sources can
contribute to ground water contamination, including leaking underground storage tanks,
agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems, and storm water infiltration. Agricultural
activities and the use of septic systems in the area are known ground water
contamination sources with the potential to impact the Site.
LOGE 1116 Page 3
