Mr John Peterson - 2 - 25 June 2014
Delta Packing Company
3 A Notice of Determination and related California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
documents issued by the San Joaquin County Community Development Departmen,
for recent facility changes that involve wastewater pond construction and wastewater
discharge to land.
4. A check for $10,405 made payable tc State Water Resources Control Board.' This
payment will serve as the first annual permit fee.
Once the RWD is determined to be complete.. we will schedule permit development. The
permitting process includes a 30-day public review of draft, (tentative) WDRs and a public
hearing by the Central Valley Water Board. You should allow at least eighteen months from
submittal of a complete RWD to adoption of WDRs.
Because the RWD requires determination of groundwater quality, you should plan to install
groundwater monitoring wells at least six months prior to submitting your RWD. Prior to
installing the wells, you must submit a Monitoring Well Installation Workplan for approval and
obtain well installation permit(s) through the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department. The attached Requirements for Monitoring Well Installation Workplans and
Monitoring Well Installation Reports provides a list of information to include in your workplan.
We are available to meet with you and your consultant to discuss current and planned
wastewater management practices and any questions you may have about the permitting
process. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a meeting, please contact me at
(916) 464-4616 or sarmstrong(d)waterboards.ca.gov.
SCOTT ARMSTRONG.
