No. 11584 <br /> 418 Matthew Plaza <br /> Lodi, California 95240 <br /> Phone: (209)368—4159 <br /> Environmental Health Department <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Subiect: Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report for the Thomas J. and Sandra M. <br /> Stokes Property addressed at 7581 West Kile Road,Lodi, California 95242. This <br /> property is a 65.58 acre parcel which is a portion of the southeast quarter of Section 3 and <br /> a small portion of the northeast quarter of Section 10, Township 4 North,Range 5 East, <br /> Mount Diablo Base and Meridian in San Joaquin County, California. The planned <br /> development is to create a 2.8 acres parcel,Parcel 1, complete with a 1,055.11 feet long <br /> and 25 feet wide access road off of West Kile Road, with the rest of the property being <br /> the remainder, all as depicted on the attached"Tentative Parcel Map" which is attached <br /> to and made an integral part of this report. Parcel 1 is to accommodate a future home. <br /> Submitted for your review, consideration and approval is a study conducted to <br /> ascertain if there are any surface or subsurface contamination sources on the above <br /> described project site and to determine the measures needed to mitigate any threat to the <br /> environment and human health. <br /> Property Current and Past Use: The project site is located in an agricultural area near <br /> Thorton, California immediately adjacent to the Union Pacific Railroad paralleling <br /> Thorton Road at its western boundary and extending easterly to the northern extension of <br /> Ray Road. Its southerly boundary is Kile Road and the northern boundary is situate about <br /> 1,700 feet northerly of Kile Road. The present 65.58 acres is devoted almost entirely to <br /> agricultural use to produce grapes. The only improvements on the subject property are <br /> situate at the southeast corner of the subject property. <br /> The project site is presently devoted to agricultural use except for a small, <br /> developed portion located in the southeast comer. The agricultural crop presently being <br /> produced is grapes. The buildings on the present property consist of the property owner's <br /> residence and garage and a four-door shop and storage area. Other improvements include <br /> a pool, playground yard and well,all as shown on the attached"Tentative Parcel Map". <br /> The remainder of the property to the west and north of the southeast corner is a vineyard. <br /> San Joaquin County Assessor and Recorder records were researched which <br /> revealed that Thomas J. and Sandra M. Stokes have owned the subject property for at <br /> least fourteen(14)years and they have devoted the land to agricultural pursuit. The area <br /> surrounding the subject property is also devoted to agricultural use.
