SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY, MS-98-18 , PARCEL NOS . 1 , 2 , AND 3
Only the Nitrate (NO3) concentration for the well water
sampled on Parcel No . 2A at 13846 Neeley Road is within the State ' s
standards established for safe public drinking water at 45 mg/L .
All of the rest of the results for Dibromochloropropane (DBCP)
and Nitrate (:NO3) concentrations for the three (3) wells on Parcel
Nos . 1 , 2 , and 2a exceed the State ' s standards established for safe
drinking water at 0 . 2 ug/L and 45 mg/L for Dibromochloropropane
(DBCP) and :Nitrate (NO3 ) respectively .
There are no state or federal standards that apply drinking
water standards to private wells . However , special requirements and
considerations would be required to provide safe
Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and Nitrate (NO3 ) concentrations for
all of the three existing wells on the subject property in the
event they are used for the general public ' s use .
EnLrineer ' s Statement :
Septic systems can be installed to the density proposed and it
is not expected to impact groundwater nor cause other health
hazards .
Walter E.
