SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY, JAS-98-18 , PARCEL NOS . 1 , 2 , AND 3
RECOMMENDATIO'.NS :
Due to the large variations in the water level drops
experienced in the thirty (30) minute periods during the total four
(4) hour percolation test periods , the needed careful selection of
six (6) test holes to test formally, as well as , both twelve ( 12)
and eight ( 8) inch diameter test holes were needed to meet San
Joaquin County percolation standards , a minimum water level drop of
1/2 recorded in a 30 minute period during the total test period
(sixty ( 60) minuteser inch
p percolation rate) is recommended for
use in the design of a septic system. A 12 , 000 square feet minimum
disposal area is recommended for all the three parcels , Parcel Nos .
1 , 2 , & 3 to accommodate a subsurface horizontal leach field. Also
because of all the variables mentioned above , the use of a seepage
pit design is acceptable in lieu of a leach field solely design.
Well Water Analysis :
A well water analysis of the existing three wells on the
subject property was arranged and paid for separately and apart by
the property owner . Even though the well water analysis was
conducted separately by Far West Laboratories Inc . , their test
results are tabulated and included in this report . Also the results
of the well water analysis are contained in the three (3 ) attached
Far West Laboratories Inc . letters , all dated July 15 , 1998 .
The well locations are shown on the the attached "Preliminary
Parcel Map" , "Property Map" , Detail Map "A" and Detail Map "B" .
A summary of the results of the tests on the sampled well
water for Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and :Nitrate (NO3 ) are
tabulated as follows :
Chemical Constituent
`* Dibromochloropropane Nitrate Maximum
Contamination
S Level
TEST ,Q` DBCP) (uLr/L 1 NO3 ) {MG/LJ [ug/Ll {m2/L1
Parcel No. 1 0 . 88 56 . 4 0. 2 45
3400 Kingdon Road
Parcel No. 2 0 . 92 78 . 8 0 . 2 45
3 Miles east/Neely &
South/Kingdon Road
Parcel :No. 2A 2 . 10 22 . 1 0 . 2 45
13846 Neeley Road
IKE RAI , 3500 WEST KINGDOM ROAD, LODI , CALIFORNIA 4
