Except for unusual site conditions or large releases of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons, it has become increasingly recognized that releases of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons to the subsurface rarely migrate more than a few hundred feet from the point of release. <br /> Therefore,sites located more than'/a mile away normally have limited potential to impact the subject <br /> property. <br /> The CORTESE list included fourteen sites within a 1/2-mile search radius of the subject property;all <br /> sites were also listed on the LUST database. <br /> LUST Database:The LUST database is an inventory of reported releases from underground storage <br /> tanks (USTs).
