Soil Suitability Study 33233 S. Koster Rd., Tracy, CA page q <br /> groundwater was measured in Well No. 1 and in Well No. 2 prior to setting the well pumps in <br /> the wells. Those depths were measured in the year 2000 and 2001, respectively. <br /> The groundwater gradient in the area is to the northeast heading towards the San Joaquin River. <br /> Section 4.2 Description/Discussion of Any Existiniz and/or Potential Groundwater <br /> Contamination Issues in the General Location of the Site <br /> A Subsurface Contamination Report was prepared for the subject property in October 2010. At <br /> that time no potential sources of soil or groundwater contamination were identified at or near the <br /> subject site. A copy of the report, which was previously submitted to San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department under service request No. SR0061281 is attached (see <br /> Appendix). <br /> Section 4.3 Description of Location Type and Construction of Wells <br /> The location of flip well (Well No. 1) that existed on the site in 2000 is shown on the Tentative <br /> Parcel Map (Figure 1) and is designated as an irrigation well. That well is 100 feet deep and has <br /> a steel well casing. A 1%z HP submersible pump is located in this well, which is used for <br /> irrigation of the grapes and trees located on Parcel 1 of the property. No well log is available for <br /> this well. A second well (Well No. 2), the location of which is also shown on Figure 1, was <br /> drilled in 2001 and is designated as a domestic potable water supply well. A copy of the well log <br /> is attached (see Figure 2). <br /> Section 4.4 Descrintion of Constituents Beina Tested for in The Water Samples <br /> The water samples taken from the well head were analyzed for: <br /> _ Nitrates <br /> Total Dissolved Solids <br /> Total Hardness as Calcium Carbonate <br /> The results are presented below. <br /> _ Well No. 1 <br /> Nitrates <br /> Total Dissolved Solids 775 mg/L <br /> Hardness as Calcium Carbonate 317 mg/L <br /> Well No 2 Nitrates l l'f�g/h <br /> — Total Dissolved Solids 490 mg/L <br /> Hardness as Calcium Carbonate 215 mg/L <br />
