Methomyl is
a broad spectrum insecticide classified as a Restricted Use Pesticide by the EPA because of its high
acute toxicity to humans. Methomyl is considered a potential groundwater contaminant and is very
mobile in sandy loam and silty clay loam soils. Residues of methomyl are not expected to be found
in treated soil after the growing season in which it is applied (Cornell).
The records provided by Ms. Gallego and the chemical profile of methomyl are included in Appendix
F of this report.
r
3.1.6 Water Supply and Sewage Disposal System
The EHD well and septic permit files were searched in an effort to obtain copies of permits for any
water wells or septic tanks on the subject property. Though many records were found for the address
of 33600 Koster Road, inspection of the attached maps revealed only the following permits to be
located within the boundaries of the subject property. Copies of these permits are included in
Appendix G.
11
