The SWIS database contains an inventory of solid waste <br /> disposal facilities or landfills. These may be active or inactive facilities or open dumps that failed to <br /> meet RCRA Section 2204 criteria for solid waste landfills or disposal sites. <br /> ` The SWIS database was reviewed online (http://www.ciwmb.ca.gov/Landfills/) on September 9, <br /> 2003; the subject property did not appear on the SWIS database at this time. The SWIS database <br /> listed no sites within a one-quarter mile radius of the subject property. <br /> 3.1.8 Site Reconnaissance <br /> A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted prior to the compilation of this report. <br /> Photographs of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site <br /> .. visit/assessment checklist is attached to this report as Appendix D. <br /> The eastern parcel of the property was observed to be recently tilled row crop land with irrigation <br /> ditches running along its eastern and northeastern boundaries. A drain sump for disposal of excess <br /> water was observed at the northeastern comer. The remainder of the property was observed to be <br /> apricot, almond, and walnut orchard, with the exception of the two developed areas. <br /> 12 <br />
