3.2 Descriptio 11 Past On-Site Potential and/or Known Above and Below Ground
w-, Sources of Con min on
Identified at the Project Site: Past on-site potentials for
r contaminationlow. The property has been an orchard for more than 10 years. Historically
there have been o and rground storage tanks. The owner has no knowledge of below ground
surfaces of contamination on the subject parcel. A search for Use Reports and Permits did not
yield any concerns for sources of contamination(See Appendix).
Pesticides and fertilizers applied were done under permit no. 39-08-3902010, 39-09-3902010,
and 39-10-3902010. A few of the pesticides used were chloropicrin, strychnine, and corbaryl,
see appendix for a complete list of pesticides and fertilizers used.
3.3 Description of All Current On-Site Potential and/or Known Above and Bel
Ground Sources of Contamination Identified at the Project Site: Presently thereQ. n-
site
f r-- underground storage tanks o roperty and visual inspection did not produce anyf
buried containers, as well a no o ors that would be associated with buried chemical storm water is containe ite and dissipates through either percolation or evaporation.
3.4 Description,o Past Off-Site Potential and/or Known Above and Below Ground
Sources of Cont , 'nati Identified in the Area of the Project Site: Past off-site potential
for contamination is low. he subject parcel is located in an agricultural community.
1
3.5 Description o a l Present Of- 'te Potential and/or Known Above and Below Ground
Sources of Contamination Ideaf led in he Area of the Project Site: Present
1 , off-site potential for contaminate, .,s low. There is no knowledge of below ground sources of
contamination in the area of the p oject sit that has or may impact the project site.
4.0 EVALUATION OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF
CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION:
4.1 Evaluation of Each Potential and/or Known Source of Contamination Identified for
any Real and/or Potential Threat to Human Health and the Environment: The depth to
ground water in this area is approximately 50 feet. Due to this depth, any pesticides,
-- insecticides, and fertilizers used on the property in the past or present would have a minimal
' impact to the ground water.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION:
5.1 Discussion of the Above Evaluation: There e no the ical containers thus the potential
r r, for contamination is low. As previously stated, any pe icides insecticides, and fertilizers-wed
on the site do not pose any significant potential for cont ation to the project site, anno
mitigation measures are recommended.
2
Y:IDMDOC1103615urface Report 0610
