QX-01-2 OF RMC PACIFIC <br /> MATERIALS (APN: 265-010-01, 07,18,15,16, 17,18 AND 016-030-01, 02) <br /> The applicant has submitted the above referenced Quarry Excavation application for a <br /> sand and gravel mining operation. The mining operation will consist of approximately <br /> 688 acres that is expected to generate more than 100 million tons of sand and gravel <br /> over a 60-year period. Approximately 590 acres or 85 percent of the proposed quarry is <br /> located in San Joaquin County and the remaining portion of the quarry is located in <br /> Stanislaus County. <br /> The site is located south of Blewett Road, east of Koster Road, north of Hospital Creek. <br /> and west of Welty Road, southeast of Tracy. <br /> Environmental Impact Report (EIR) <br /> The Community Development Department is preparing an initial study. If the initial study <br /> indicates that the project may cause a significant effect on the Environment, an EIR will <br /> be required. The Community Development Department will make this determination <br /> prior to February 2, 2002. <br /> Additional Information <br /> As discussed in a telephone conversation with Richard "Butch" Kelly of RMC Pacific <br /> materials the Community Development Department is requesting the following <br /> information to evaluate the proposed quarry: <br /> A slope stability study to demonstrate that the proposed temporary slope will have the <br /> minimum slope stability factor required in the San Joaquin County Development Title <br /> Section 9-1415.3(k)(4). <br />
