62 Cumulative Impacts In addition, although the impacts of particulate matter(PMIo, PM2.5 and DPM)from the project would be less than significant,those impacts are cumulatively considerable when combined with the other projects in the area(including the quarries listed in Table 6-1)and the overall cumulative impact would be significant, given the existing and projected near-term non- attainment status of the area for PMio, and PM2.5 standards. Mitigation Measure Measure 6.4: Implement Mitigation Measure 4.6.2 to reduce the project's incremental contribution to cumulative air quality impacts. Impact Significance After Mitigation: With implementation of Mitigation Measure 4.6.2, the impacts from the project combined with other projects in the area would remain significant. Noise The existing area is agricultural and rural residential in nature. However,there is a nearby mining facility and agricultural composting facility. The other nearby proposed and approved mining I projects would have mining and processing noise as well as truck traffic along the roadways, 6. particularly SR 132, Koster Road,Blewett Road, and Bird Road. The operations and truck haul traffic from the project in conjunction with the other projects in the area would contribute to noise levels to nearby sensitive receptors and those living along roadways. Impact 6.5: Traffic noise levels resulting from the increase in traffic volumes associated with operation of the mine will be cumulatively considerable when considered along with past, present,and future projects in the project area, which will result in increased noise levels at residences located along truck haul routes. The cumulative impact would be 6. significant. Cumulative traffic in combination with the project would significantly increase noise levels under all three haul route options along the majority of the modeled roadway segments. The significant ` project-related increases in noise levels along Segment I and 8 under Haul Route Option 1,along Segments 1, 5 and 8 under Haul Route Option 2 and along Segments 1,2, 3, and 9 under Haul ` Route Option 3 would be incremental effects that are cumulatively considerable at these locations. Mitigation Measure Measure 6.5: Implement Mitigation Measure 4.5.3. Impact Significance After Mitigation: With implementation of Mitigation Measure 4.5.3,the project's contribution to cumulative noise impacts would remain significant.
