KLEINEELDER
5 LABORATORY RESULTS
5.1 LABORATORY ANALYSIS
Three groundwater samples were collected from the three deep wells (DW-1, DW-2B and DW-3)
f on November 30, 2000. Both of the monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 were found to be dry and
no access was available for the domestic well located near the southwest corner of the subject site.
Therefore no groundwater samples were collected at these locations. The three groundwater
samples collected from the "deep" wells were submitted under chain-of-custody
Sequoia Analytical for the following analysis: control to
• General Minerals by EPA Methods
I
The samples were analyzed on a normal laboratory schedule requiring approximately two weeks
(ten working days) for completion. For a summary of the groundwater results refer to Tables 1
and 2.
A summary of the analytes and the reported ranges for these threc wells (DW-1, DW-2 and DW-
3) are listed below: y
Hardness 180 mg/l to 314 mg/l
Calcium 40.3 mg/I to 84.0 mg/l
Copper none detected
Iron 0.0635 mg/l to 2.83 mg/l
Magnesium 19.3 mg/l to 25.2 mg/l '
Manganese (none detected) to 0.232 mg/1
Potassium 1.96 mg/I to 2.33 mg/l
Sodium 52.1 mg/l to 64.6 mg/l
Zinc 0.0142 to 0.572 mgil
Total Alkalinity 143 mg/1 to 273 mg/1
Bicarbonate Alkalinity 141 mg/l to 273 mg/1
Carbonate Alkalinity (none detected) to 1.40 mg/l
Hydroxide Alkalinity none detected
Methyl Blue Active Substances (none detected) to 0.0590 mg/1
Total Dissolved Solids 349 mg/l to 507 mg/1
Chloride 43.2 mg/l to 99.5 mg/l
Sulfate 63.4 mg/I to 99.7 mg/l
Specific Conductivity 606 to 881 µmhos/cm
pH 7.41 to 8.32 pH units
20-2245-36.EO 1/2011 R279
Copyright 2001, Kleinfelder, Inc.
