The sample was collected from a discharge point located approximately five feet
away from the well. Mr. Ron Yaokum of DSS facilitated the activation of the well.
The well discharge rate was estimated to be approximately 10 to 15 gallons per minute (gpm).
The well was allowed to pump for approximately 15 minutes prior to sample collection. The
purge volume was estimated at approximately 187 gallons based on the average purge rate noted
previously:
. The water sample from DW-3 was collected in laboratory grade and approved sample containers.
The water sample was sealed, labeled, and logged on a chain of custody at the site. The water
sample was placed in a chilled cooler with ice for transport to the laboratory.
Additionally, on December 17, 2002, water samples were collected from wells 1 and 2 (DW-1
and DW-2).
