If an
erosion or revegetation problem is identified in the same area for two consecutive years, the
proponent shall submit, for approval by Development Services Division,a revised reclamation plan
which provides for reduced slope steepness or alternative measures for controlling identified
problems. if reduction of slope steepness is required, the proponent shall identify the source of any
necessary fill materials and amend the Financial Assurances for the project to address any necessary
financing to place the fill,
N
Impact 4.2-4 A-4 A-1,A-2& Mitigation Measure 4.2-4a(A-1,A-2&A-3) All Alts.
Capacity of Proposed Processing A-3
Basins may be Inadequate Prior to commencement of mining-at the project site, the proponent shall submit for approval by the
Development Services Division, calculations and engineering drawings prepared by a licensed
engineer that demonstrate that the proposed processing wastewater basins are capable of storing
expected wastewater discharge and precipitation.
Impact 4.2-5 Alt Alts. As
a basis for initial and ongoing mining depths, the proponent shall submit annually the results of
quarterly monitoring reports to the Department Services Division which document the groundwater
elevations for a minimum of ten water supply wells around the general perimeter of the permitted
mining area. In the event that the proponent is unable to obtain or retain measurements from at least
ten existing water wells, the proponent shall procure new wells for monitoring purposes at locations
acceptable to the Development Services Division, The proponent shall provide a verifiable bench
mark at each well site that can be referenced for compliance monitoring. Based on the water depth
monitoring reports,Development Services Division may recalculate the expected high groundwater
elevation, thereby adjusting the maximum depth of mining.
LS=less than significant A-1 =Proposed Project
S=significant A-2=Proposed Project with Alternate Northern Access Road
SU=significant and unavoidable A-3=Proposed Project with Alternate Southern Access Road to New Interchange
A-4=No Project
