noted. An unrecorded, possibly historic farm house complex of undetermined significance <br /> is located in the southwest corner of the project site. Removal or disruption 1 pt on of this <br /> structure would be a potentially significant impact. <br /> I Alternative 4: No Project <br /> No ground disturbing activities or removal of on-site structures would occur under the No <br /> Project Alternative, and therefore, no impacts to cultural resources are anticipated. <br /> E <br /> Mitigation Measure 4.4-1a (Alternatives 1, 2, and 3) <br /> ( If buried cultural materials are encountered during construction, the proponent shall <br /> immediately stop work in that area until a qualified archaeologist can evaluate the <br /> nature and significance of the find. If the find is human remains, then the coroner <br /> must be notified immediately. If the remains are determined to be Native American, <br /> then the Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) shall be notified within 24 <br /> hours as. required by Public Resources Code 5097. The NAHC will notify <br /> designated Most Likely Descendants which will provide recommendations for the <br /> treatment of the remains within 24 hours. The NAHC will mediate disputes, if any, <br /> regarding treatment of remains. If the finds are not human remains, then the <br /> proponent shall retain a qualified archeologist under the direction of the County to <br /> # ' evaluate those finds for CEQA "importance"and develop and implement remedial <br /> actions as necessary. <br /> Mitigation Measure 4.4-1b (Alternatives 1, 2, and 3) <br /> ' The proponent shall record the on-site residence on State Office of Historic <br /> Preservation Form 523 (for architectural resources) and thereby evaluate that <br /> structure for CEQA importance. If the building is found to be "important,"then the <br /> required Historical Architectural Building Survey report shall be completed by the <br /> proponent and submitted to the County and SHPO for review and approval_ <br /> Level of Significance After Mitigation: <br /> Implementation of Mitigation Measures 4.4-1a and 4.4-1b would reduce the <br /> potential impacts to cultural resources to a less-than-significant level. <br /> (7 <br /> F' <br /> I <br /> �; Draft Environmental Impact Report , 4-114 ER-96-3 <br />
