• Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
No known septic systems are currently located on the Site.
Proposed Septic System
According to the Site Plan prepared by Mr. Gilman, (Plate 2), two filter bed septic
systems are proposed to be located to the south-southwest of the fourplexes.
On-Site Septic Permit History
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department septic permits were searched
for the Site address. No septic permits were identified.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
To estimate the septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that
exist within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery
from GoogleEarth was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have
one septic system. Using this method, we estimated that at least 13 septic systems per
square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site. Residential subdivisions
• are located to the east of the Site which are presumed to rely on City sewer
connections. Kimball High School, to the northeast of the Site, also presumably utilizes
a sewer connection.
The general area consists of rural residences, open agricultural land, orchards, and
residential subdivisions.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a recent review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, septic systems in the area
appear to utilize leach lines or leach lines with sumps. The septic permits can be found
in Appendix 4 of this report.
Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from the two proposed
fourplexes.
• LOGE 1623 Page 2
