"February 19, 2014
Re: Permit Number PA-1300177
To Whom It May Concern
'My family and neighbors live on Lammers Road in Tracy, and 1 (lane Whitcomb)
in addition to my neighbors, have some serious concerns about Verizon's intent
to install a cell tower on the edge of my, property.
I love our neighborhood. My husband I moved here in 1989 with our infant
daughter, and had two more children. In 11395, we decided that we loved the
rural aspect of this neighborhood so much that we made an offer to purchase
the home we had lived in for six years. We've raised our children here and
established great relationships with our neighbors. Our road is unpaved and the
cost to maintain that road is equally shared among the people who.occupy the
'homes on our road. Our little corner of Tracy can still be described as rural; it is
not uncommon to see people riding horses down our road or our pets roaming
freely. When we first moved here, urban 'creep' had not yet begun; though we
were minutes away from the 'Big City', we very much felt as though we lived in
the country.
'Over the years, development"has changed the complexion of Tracy, yet our little
corner remained untouched. We still have our horses and the horned owls living
in our 80+ year old eucalyptus trees, in addition to other wildlife. It is an oasis of
- peace and quiet within the insanity of the city.
`You cannot imagine my surprise when 1 witnessed a phalanx of automobiles
drive towards my house on the road in April 2013. No one drives that far down
the road unless you either live on the road or you are visiting someone, so this
was an unusual occurrence. When I went out to investigate, I was confronted
by representatives from Verizon. They told me that there were plans to install a
cell'tower.I was not at all thrilled by this, and immediately expressed my
concern, but I was assured that IF it were built, "I won't be able to see it from
my house", and that it was just in the planning stage at that point. Dan Leasure
my neighbor to the northeast was told the exact same thing by the same
representatives on that same day.
In the early part of the summer all of the people who live on the road, received a
vague notice regarding the proposed tower and we met to discuss the
implications. There were no maps included in the mailing nor any indication of
the location of the tower other than a small dot on a on a very large overall
