V
would'have come and gone without our'knowledge.
We, the people who LIVE in our quiet neighborhood, off our little gravel road,
unlike the owner of the property where the tower is proposed (he owns vacant
land and will not have to live with the tower in close proximity to his HOME) are
opposed to'Veriizon marching in and completely disregarding the concerns ofthe
people who LIVE here. The tower would be an eyesore as well as a potential
health hazard. There is no question that our property values would be damaged.
Tracy has plenty of property where this tower would be MUCH more suitable. It
is definitely NOT suitable for one of the few remaining rural properties just
outside the Tim-its.
We want to keep our private gravel road as is with the posted speed limit at 10
mph. We feel that this is what keeps unwanted visitors from venturing into our
neighborhood. Burglary and crime is not existent in our area for the moment.
All the neighbors snare in watching out for each other. 'We are flew in numbers
but aligned in our love of this area.
Verizon has been very sneaky and underhanded; promising all of us an
opportunity to make our feelings known and addressing our concerns, yet they
went'behind ourbacks and got their permit, knowing that if we UID have an
opportunity to address our concerns, that their permit and their tower would be
in serious jeopardy.
Now, we have been told that in order to challenge and oppose the permit, we
are required to pay a fee of$-3S3 to 'San Joaquin County? How is that fee
justified? Verizon is guilty of completely ignoring their obligation to perform due
diligence; to give us an opportunity to address the Planning Commission and
oppose the tower. The home owners should not be punished financially for this.
Verizon and their representatives should be the ones penalized, not the home
owners, who were deliberately left uninformed and completely in the dark about
through every gep of the planning/permit phase.
We, the undersigned, hope that San Joaquin County Planning Commission take
our concerns seriously; come to our neighborhood, talk to the homeowners and
see'how ltoitally inappropriate our little rural neig'hbor'hood, at the end of our
small, unpaved gravel road is for this project. We hope you will agree that this is
NOT the place for this monstrosity.
We greatly appreciate your consideration in this matter.
