Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report'APN: 251-050-03*Parcel Nos.1;1Designated Remainder
No permits were noted for repairing any of the facilities subsequent to their
installation.
From the historical septic records there is no indication of septic contamination
problems.
Possible Nitrate Pollution: No animals were seen on the subject property so there does
not appear to be any undue nitrate concentrations because of an overpopulation of
animals.
Possible Chemical Use Contamination In Crop Production: The subject property
is not being farmed now. Present day economics do not make it worthwhile for the
subject property to be cultivated to grow any agricultural products. Therefore no attempt
to list the pesticides and herbicides used in managing and controlling insects and mites,
nematodes and weeds in the production of past specific agricultural products are included
or incorporated into this report due to the uncertainty of crops that were produced.
The property owner, however, informed me in an environmental questionnaire
that orchard and row crop farming have been conducted on the subject property over the
last fifty(50)years and that herbicides, Treflan and Roundup, and common fertilizers
have been applied on the crops that have been produced.
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office reports that many
chemicals have been applied to the soil concerned with this report from 1997 to the
present time. The chemicals applied during this period are covered in this report and
included in Tables "A" and"B" in Appendix H under"San Joaquin County Agricultural
Commissioners Report".
San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioners Report: The San Joaquin County
Agricultural Commissioner's Office was requested to access their files and report on any
recorded permit applications and product use applications by the Tuso family over the
last five years in Section 1, Township 3 South,Range 4 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian. That office has responded with a report dated 11/12/02 that states the
agricultural crops that have been grown on the subject property, as well as the chemicals
and the dates of their application to the soil. A summary of the report is contained in
Tables "A" and"B" in Appendix H that is included and made an integral part of this
report.
Groundwater Elevation: The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation Map entitled"Lines of Equal Depth To Water Wells" dated spring 1998,
shows the subject property to be in an uncontoured area. The subject property is in an
area west of the contour where ground water is known to be ten feet below the ground
surface.
Soil Character The University of California publication entitled"Soils of San Joaquin
County, California",by Walter W. Weir, dated June 1952, identifies the soil on the
subject property to be Ambrose Clay.
Cam and Marin Tnan 77159 Rnnth T Ammnra RnAd Trart Caii£nmia a-ms !9(191 Ri5- S9r0 d
